What Is Sewage Cleanup?
Sewage cleanup is a Category 3 (black water) subset of water damage cleanup. It requires full PPE, containment, removal of all porous materials in contact with the sewage, EPA-registered disinfection, and post-cleanup verification.
Sewage backups can come from main line failures, lateral breaks, or storm-overwhelmed combined sewer systems. The water carries bacteria, viruses, parasites, and chemicals. It is never a clean-it-yourself situation — even a small sewage backup carries serious health risks. We arrive in full PPE and follow IICRC S500 Category 3 protocols.

Frequently Asked Questions
How fast can you respond?
Most metros: 45–90 minutes from your call. Outer suburbs and during major storms can run longer. Phones are answered live — no menus, no callbacks.
Will my insurance cover this?
Most homeowner and commercial property policies cover sudden and accidental water damage. We bill carriers directly with Xactimate-compatible scopes. Rising water from flooding requires NFIP or private flood coverage. Mold has sub-limits on most policies.
Do you work nights and weekends?
Yes. Live dispatch 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Commercial work is often scheduled after hours by default.
Are you IICRC-certified?
Every technician is trained to IICRC S500 standards. Lead technicians carry additional WRT, ASD, and AMRT certifications where applicable.
